We’ve taken notice of a recent APC press release falsely claiming credit for the Mushin/Iyana-Isolo road construction.
It’s time to set the record straight and give credit where it’s due.
The facts are clear: the project was initially facilitated by Ganiu Johnson but unfortunately abandoned.
Hon. Okey Joe stepped in, wrote to the Minister of Works, and facilitated the project’s completion.
*The Facts*
– The project stalled until Hon. Okey Joe intervened in 2023
– His efforts led to the Minister of Works sending the Permanent Secretary to inspect the road.
– The Permanent Secretary’s visit marked a turning point, and the project was re-awarded to Stranbic Construction Limited, resulting in the completion of Phase One from Iyana-Isolo to Pako
– Beyond the Mushin/Iyana-Isolo Road, Hon. Okey Joe also facilitated the rehabilitation of 10 other key roads in Oshodi-Isolo, including:
– Falana Street
– Kogberegbe Street
– Akinbaiya Street
– Ehingbeti Street
– Olu-Ajulo/Okeho Street
– Abimbola Street
– Enhingbeti Spur
– Cowbell Road
– Kamoru Adeyemi Street
– Jimoh Faronbi Street
