Hon. James Abiodun Faleke in his interview by The Eye News after casting his vote at his residence at Olaleke Taiwo street in Ojodu LCDA, Ikeja Lagos.
Said “Well, I think that the delay in this election to me was not good enough”, “The logistics, especially in Ikeja which has to do with the delay in dispassing the electoral officials to each of their polling units affected some of our people coming out of town to vote”. “For example, I’m just coming out to vote because I had to wait for the electoral officials to come to my polling unit”.
” But so far, despite that the outing is good, it’s welcome and encouraging because local government elections to us in Ikeja and Lagos in general is a priority to everyone living here”.
“You can imagine the development that has taken place by the outgoing chairmen of the local government council in lagos state”. “They’ve done very well and we expect that the incoming government will do better.
I want to encourage our citizens to participate fully in this election and to watch out for whoever they vote for so that they can all be partakers rather than complainers”.
“If they don’t vote and if they don’t come out to vote it’s of no use to come on and complain thereafter, now is the time for you to decide who governs you” .
“On the turnout of people in this election, first you have to know that so many people has moved out, some has relocated and some are just moving into the environment.” Jobs transfers here and there until we do another voters registration and updates before we can start comparing the turnout of this election to others”. “Actually since the last registration and now a lot of movement has taken place”.
“The local government election we just did is a warm-up to the election that will come up in 2027.
Let me explain something here and sound a note of warning to all those who are ganging up against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I want them to know that they will fail. “Listen, when you see people who betray others. then you know that they are bound to fail”.
“I don’t want to mention names but all those people that has been made, defended at all cost even while in government, still continue to support you”.
” Now you think that because you are not having your ways because of that you must bring down the house” .
” For me I want to tell them and I’m sending a note of warning to them that they will all fail”. “By the Grace of God, our president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be re-elected as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2027”.
