CHAIRMAN AKOD FINANCIALY SUPPORTS THE VICTIMS OF ALADE MARKET FIRE INCIDENT

In his usual display of compassion and people-centered leadership, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), today reached out to traders who were victims of the unfortunate fire outbreak at Alade International Market some months ago.

The inferno, which carted away goods worth millions of naira, left many traders devastated and struggling to recover. Today, however, relief came their way as the Council under Chairman AKOD compensated the affected shop owners; Mrs. Iyobor Itohan, Mrs. Olufunke Mobolaji Iyabode, and Mrs. Ajara.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, the beneficiaries poured encomiums on the Chairman, describing him as a leader with a large heart and genuine empathy. They offered heartfelt prayers, asking God to grant him success beyond imagination.

Speaking during the presentation, Chairman AKOD once again sympathized with the traders, urging them not to lose hope. He assured them that God will restore and multiply what they have lost and prayed that such a tragic incident would never again befall Alade Market or any other market within Ikeja.

Present at the event were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore (Omituntun), and the Council Manager, Mrs. Taiwo Juliana Odubeko, both of whom witnessed this act of compassion.

This singular gesture is yet another testament that under Chairman AKOD’s leadership, Ikeja is not just governed, but truly cared for.

God Bless Ikeja.
Better Days are Here.
